    READ | PHOTOS: We were saddened to learn of the death last week of the great German baritone Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, who had a decades-long history with Carnegie Hall. Fischer-Dieskau made his debut here in 1964, and performed at the Hall 36 times, his last Carnegie Hall appearance taking place in 1988.
