Carnegie Hall excitedly anticipates this special 120th Anniversary
Gala with James Taylor and guests, including Barbara Cook,
Steve Martin, Bette Midler, Sting,
members of the Tanglewood Festival Chorus, and more.
Taylor hosts this exclusive one-night-only event that celebrates all 12
decades by highlighting many of the extraordinary events that have taken
place on the legendary Carnegie Hall stage.
Guests have the unique opportunity to choose their evening, with
packages for either a later night or an earlier night. The later night
includes the concert and a festive after-party with James Taylor and the
artists at The Museum of Modern Art. The earlier evening includes a
pre-concert reception at Carnegie Hall with the concert to follow.
Tickets for the reception and concert are $1,000 per person, and
tickets for the concert and after-party start at $2,500.
120th Anniversary Concert
Thursday, May 5, 2011 at 8 PM
Join us to commemorate the 120th Anniversary of Carnegie Hall with an
all-star concert at this Gala event featuring the New York Philharmonic
under the baton of Alan Gilbert, with world-class
soloists Emanuel Ax, piano; Gil Shaham,
violin; Yo-Yo Ma, cello; and Audra McDonald,
voice. The concert program includes works by Dvořák, Beethoven,
Ellington, and Gershwin.
Gala attendees enjoy prime concert seating, as well as a pre-concert
dinner and post-concert champagne toast with the artists. Tickets start
at $1,500 and include all three portions of the evening.
