On Sunday, January 23, 2011 Carnegie Hall proudly paid tribute to
Trustee and music legend Marilyn Horne. The Song Continues!
Celebrating Marilyn Horne at Carnegie Hall honored Marilyn Horne on
the 50th year since her Carnegie Hall debut, as well as her inspiring
dedication to the development and advancement of young singers.
After an intimate dinner in Carnegie Hall’s Rohatyn Room hosted by
Trustee and chair Ann Ziff, guests were given the unique opportunity to
see Marilyn’s work with young performers first-hand. The Annual Recital
featured four new singers, all who have been mentored by Marilyn
herself. Joined by special guest soprano Christine Brewer, the recital
was a true celebration of the art of song. Guests ended the night at an
exclusive champagne and dessert cast party with the artists.
