• Christopher Rouse on String Quartet No. 3

    Christopher Rouse's Carnegie Hall-commissioned String Quartet No. 3—his first chamber work in more than a decade—receives its New York premiere during "Making Music," a celebration of the composer and his music on April 15.

    Here, Rouse describes the "extremely schizophrenic" piece, and speaks about working with the Calder Quartet towards its creation.
