Following the success of its inaugural year, Carnegie Hall Live returns with 12 broadcasts from all three stages of New York's premier concert hall throughout the 2012–2013 season.
This rich broadcast and digital series, produced by WQXR and Carnegie Hall in collaboration with American Public Media, includes behind-the-scenes videos, interviews with conductors and performers, and photographs of the productions.
Beginning on October 3 with our Opening Night Gala featuring Ricardo Muti and Chicago Symphony Orchestra, during each live broadcast, WQXR, Carnegie Hall, and digital partner NPR Music host live web chats—including Twitter commentary by the broadcast team—from backstage and in the control room.
Join us! Get a head start by reading the program notes for Wednesday night's concert and brushing up on the text of Orff's Carmina Burana.
