Carnegie Hall today announced that R&B and jazz singer/songwriter Lalah Hathaway will join renowned vocalist Dianne Reeves as a special guest on Ms. Reeves's concert, Dianne Reeves and Friends, in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage on Saturday, February 16 at 7:30 PM.
Though known to many as the daughter of late soul music legend Donny Hathaway, Lalah Hathaway is an accomplished vocalist, songwriter, and pianist in her own right, with a music career spanning two decades and several solo recordings, including most recently Where It All Begins (2011, Stax).
Hathaway joins a lineup that already includes bassist and vocalist Esperanza Spalding, pianist, composer and producer George Duke, and drummer Terri Lyne Carrington. Reeves's longtime collaborators Peter Martin, keyboard, Romero Lumbabo, guitar, Reginald Veal, bass, and Terreon Gully, drums will also be featured.
