In the spring of 2012, young wind players from around the country participated in master classes with members of the Berliner Philharmoniker as part of Carnegie Hall’s workshops and master classes. Over the summer, we will feature videos from these master classes on the blog. Don’t miss your chance to learn from some of the world’s greatest artists by applying to participate in one of our workshops or master classes coming up next season.
This week, we feature Berliner Philharmoniker principal clarinetist Wenzel Fuchs coaching Brian Gnojek on an excerpt from Beethoven's Symphony No. 6. In this video, Mr. Fuchs advises Brian to play solo passages at a much stronger dynamic in an orchestra than when playing solo in an audition.
