• Jeremy Denk: Mining Mozart

Pianist Jeremy Denk, the recent recipient of a MacArthur Foundation “genius grant,” joins Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage on Wednesday, November 13 to perform Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 25 in C Major. The performance, which will be broadcast on WQXR 105.9 FM as part of the Carnegie Hall Live broadcast and digital series, gives Denk the opportunity to delve into Mozart's music in search of something new.

“The first thing I want to do is a lot more Mozart than I've been doing, because I really feel that I want to say what I have to say about him. It’s not that we don’t hear a lot of Mozart, but somehow I feel that there’s something about Mozart that has yet to be done.”
