Yefim Bronfman
Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage
One of today’s most compelling pianists plays an intriguing program that includes heroic variations by Beethoven; a piece both festive and touching, by Schumann; a big-boned, virtuosic, and seldom performed sonata by Tchaikovsky; and a bold sequence of piano pieces—after Schumann—by Munich-born Jörg Widmann.
