Community Sing: Young People's Chorus of New York City

Hostos Center
Experience the magic of ensemble singing by attending one of Carnegie Hall’s Community Sings—designed for all ages, no experience necessary. You’ll learn what it takes to be a member of these dynamic groups and experience the power of singing for yourself.

Fierce talent, sparkling enthusiasm, dynamic energy: The Young People’s Chorus of New York City is one of the world’s leading children’s choruses, known for celebrating the diversity of its members and community. To culminate Hispanic Heritage Month, the group invites the audience to join in an all-Latin program, including salsa and merengue favorites. The young choristers are preparing to journey to the Dominican Republic as part of their project “Uno a Uno,” a transnational collaboration with local youth to start new choirs and share their enthusiasm for singing.
