Edith Wharton: Old and New New York

Join Hildegard Hoeller for a lecture on Edith Wharton and her changing views of old and new New York. Looking at Wharton’s writing about New York from her earliest short stories to her 1934 autobiography, this lecture highlights how Wharton revised her view of the city. This program is part of Carnegie Hall’s 120th anniversary celebration and is part of the series New York City at the Turn of the Century.

Pierpont Morgan’s 1906 Library will be open at 5:30 PM especially for program attendees.
