• Emalie Savoy

  
  Rising American soprano Emalie Savoy has performed to great acclaim in both operatic and concert repertoire. She was the recipient of a 2011 George London Foundation grand prize and was awarded second prize in the Gerda Lissner Foundation's 2011 International Vocal Competition. Forthcoming appearances include the title role in Gluck's Armide as part of a co-production between the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artist Development Program and The Juilliard School in February 2012 as well as her Metropolitan Opera debut in April 2012 as Kristina in Janáček's The Makropulos Case.
  
  Currently a member of the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, Ms. Savoy recently debuted with the New York Philharmonic in Janáček's The Cunning Little Vixen, conducted by Alan Gilbert. Highlights of her 2010-2011 season included the role of Socrate in Satie's Socrate with James Levine and The MET Chamber Ensemble at Carnegie Hall; a collaboration with Yo-Yo Ma, dancer Damian Woetzel, and the Silk Road Ensemble on New York City's SummerStage in Central Park; soprano soloist in both Mendelssohn's Elijah and Paulus, led by Kent Tritle with The Oratorio Society of New York at Carnegie Hall; and performances of the title role in Strauss's Ariadne auf Naxos, conducted by Christoph von Dohnányi at the Tanglewood Music Center.

• Sasha Cooke

  
  American mezzo-soprano Sasha Cooke's 2011-2012 season includes Bach's Magnificat at Carnegie Hall with Robert Spano and the Orchestra of St. Luke's; Debussy's Le martyre de Saint Sébastien with Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony; Medea in Handel's Teseo at Chicago Opera Theater; and her Boston Symphony Orchestra debut under the baton of Jiří Bělohlávek in John Harbison's Fifth Symphony. She also debuts with Leonard Slatkin and the Orchestre national de Lyon in Mahler's Symphony No. 2, sings Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 with the Houston and Kansas City symphony orchestras, sings Bernstein and Berlioz with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, and joins Musica Sacra for holiday performances of Handel's Messiah at Carnegie Hall.
  
  A dedicated recitalist, Ms. Cooke has appeared in Carnegie Hall's Weill and Zankel halls, Alice Tully Hall, and the Mondavi Center in California, among others. She has sung with leading conductors and orchestras including Bernard Haitink and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Manfred Honeck and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Jaap van Zweden and the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and Edo de Waart with both the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. A former member of the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artist Development Program, she was acclaimed for her portrayal of Kitty Oppenheimer in the Met's premiere of John Adams's Doctor Atomic, which was also broadcast live in high definition to cinemas around the world.
  
  A graduate of Rice University and The Juilliard School, Sasha Cooke also attended the Music Academy of the West, Aspen Music Festival and School, Ravinia Festival's Steans Music Institute, Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, Marlboro Music Festival, and Central City Opera's Artists Training Program.

• Dimitri Pittas

  
  Tenor Dimitri Pittas has appeared on leading opera stages throughout North America and Europe, including the Bayerische Staatsoper, Vienna State Opera, Canadian Opera Company, and Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. He is a graduate of the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artist Development Program and has been heard on the Metropolitan Opera stage as Macduff in Macbeth, Nemorino in L'elisir d'amore,and Tamino in Die Zauberflöte. He has also performed as Alfredo in La traviata, Rodolfo in La bohème, Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor,and the Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto.
  
  In the current season, Mr. Pittas makes his debut with the Canadian Opera Company as the Duke of Mantua and returns to the Metropolitan Opera as Macduff and Rodolfo. In the summer, he returns
  to the Bayerische Staatsoper as Tebaldo in Bellini's I Capuleti e i Montecchi,following performances of Verdi's Requiemwith The Cleveland Orchestra. In the previous season, he made his debut with the Royal Opera in a new production of Macbeth, was heard as Edgardo with Houston Grand Opera, and debuted as Tebaldo with the Bayerische Staatsoper.
  
  On the concert stage, Mr. Pittas has sung Verdi's Requiemwith the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra under Manfred Honeck and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra under Robert Spano. He has been presented in recital at Carnegie Hall and the Saint Louis Art Museum. Other concert performances have included Stars of Lyric Opera at Millennium Park, a gala concert in Tokyo, a gala concert for The Atlanta Opera, and a feature concert for The Arts in Southold Town.

• Joshua Hopkins

  
  Winner of the 2006 Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award and the Verbier Festival Academy's 2008 Prix d'Honneur, Joshua Hopkins's 2011-2012 season highlights include Handel's Rinaldo with the touring company of Glyndebourne Opera, Britten's TheRape of Lucretia with Houston Grand Opera, and Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia with Vancouver Opera and Lyric Opera of Kansas City. He also sings Handel's Messiah with the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra and the Mercury Baroque, Bach's Magnificat with Orchestra of St. Luke's, and Nielsen's Symphony No. 3 as well as Mozart's Mass in C Minor with the New York Philharmonic. Mr. Hopkins's future seasons include returns to the Metropolitan Opera, Canadian Opera Company, Houston Grand Opera, and The Dallas Opera, as well as debuts with Glyndebourne Opera's summer festival and Washington National Opera.
  
  Mr. Hopkins has given solo recitals at Carnegie Hall with J. J. Penna, for the Vancouver Recital Society with Graham Johnson, for the Santa Fe Concert Association with Jerad Mosbey, and in Toronto in conjunction with The Aldeburgh Connection, offering a program highlighting songs about flowers written by Schubert. He gave the world premiere of Michael Tilson Thomas's Rilke Songs in Zankel Hall and joined Barbara Bonney for songs by three generations of Mozarts (Leopold, Wolfgang, and Franz Xaver) under the auspices of The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. He also has collaborated with pianist Richard Goode in a program of Haydn songs.

• Nathan Brandwein

  
  Collaborative pianist Nathan Brandwein recently graduated with a doctorate from The Juilliard School, where he studied with Jonathan Feldman, Margo Garrett, and Brian Zeger. A native of Kansas City, Mr. Brandwein graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado, where he studied with Angela Cheng, and completed his master's degree and professional diploma at Mannes College The New School for Music in New York City as a student of Pavlina Dokovska. In 2004, he was the grand-prize winner in the Music Teachers National Association Young Artist Piano Competition, sponsored by Steinway & Sons, and has performed in concert with singers and instrumentalists as a collaborative artist throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. For the past six consecutive summers, he has served as chamber-music coach and performed in concert with the string faculty of the American Conservatory in Fontainebleau, France. In the summer of 2010, Mr. Brandwein was one of five collaborative pianists working at the Steans Institute of Vocal Arts during the Ravinia Festival, and was appointed score consultant for the Metropolitan Opera's 2011 Live in HD broadcasts of Gluck's Iphigénie en Tauride and Philip Glass's Satyagraha.Mr. Brandwein has also regularly appeared in concert with violinist Brad Repp as part of Duo Moderno, which debuted in Salo, Italy, in 2005.   Originally from San Francisco, pianist Justina Lee has worked as an assistant conductor and pianist for the Metropolitan Opera, Seattle Opera, Wolf Trap Opera Company, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, Glimmerglass Festival, and Castleton Festival. Ms. Lee's concert appearances have included the Tuesday Musical Concert Series of Omaha, the San Antonio Tuesday Music Club, the Harriman-Jewell Series, the Concerts at One series at Trinity Wall Street, and residencies with The Châteauville Foundation and the Marilyn Horne Foundation. Ms. Lee is a graduate of the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artist Development Program and holds master's degrees from Manhattan School of Music and the University of California, Los Angeles, where she studied with Vitaly Margulis. She is on faculty at the University of Maryland, where she has been the music director and principal coach for the graduate opera studio since 2008.

• Jerad Mosbey

  
  Chicago-based pianist Jerad Mosbey enjoys a diverse career that encompasses work in vocal and instrumental collaboration, chamber music, and opera. His work in Chicago has involved collaborations with Lyric Opera of Chicago's Ryan Opera Center, DePaul Opera Theater, Music of the Baroque, and Northwestern University, where he serves as faculty pianist for the choral department. He has also been a faculty member of The Professional Advantage, an opera and Italian language institute in the Marche region of Italy. Recent performance highlights include recitals in collaboration with such artists as Jennifer Larmore, Joshua Hopkins, Philip Dikeman, and Amy Johnson. Mr. Mosbey has performed extensively with baritone Joshua Hopkins under the auspices of the Marilyn Horne Foundation, collaborating in two residency recitals and as part of the On Wings of Song concert series. In the fall of 2010, they released their first recording together, titled Let Beauty Awake. Mr. Mosbey is a graduate of Butler University and the University of Michigan, where he studied with world-renowned collaborative pianist Martin Katz. He has held fellowships at the American Institute of Musical Studies in Austria and the Tanglewood Music Center, and he is a graduate of the Houston Grand Opera Studio.

  Pianist Brian Zeger has built an important career not only as a pianist, appearing in distinguished concert venues throughout the United States and Europe, but also as an ensemble performer, radio broadcaster, artistic administrator, and educator. In a career that spans more than two decades, Mr. Zeger has enjoyed collaborations with many of the world's top artists, including Marilyn Horne, Deborah Voigt, Susan Graham, René Pape, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Bryn Terfel, and Joyce DiDonato. Recent and upcoming engagements include recitals with Deborah Voigt, René Pape, Anna Netrebko, Bryn Terfel, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Adrianne Pieczonka, and Piotr Beczala.
  
  Mr. Zeger also enjoys an active career as a chamber musician. From 1993 until 2000, he was artistic director of the Cape and Islands Chamber Music Festival, and he has been a regular guest at many other summer festivals. In addition to his distinguished concert career, he also serves as artistic director of the vocal arts department at The Juilliard School and the executive director of the Metropolitan Opera's Lindemann Young Artist Development Program.
  
  Mr. Zeger's writings have appeared in Opera News, The Yale Review, and Chamber Music magazine, and he has appeared frequently on the Metropolitan Opera's radio broadcasts both on the opera quiz and as intermission host and performer. • Joyce DiDonato

  
  Wherever she sings, Joyce DiDonato earns rhapsodic reviews. She has soared to international prominence in operas by Rossini, Handel, and Mozart, as well as in high-profile world premieres.
  
  Born in Kansas and a graduate of Wichita State University, Ms. DiDonato trained with the young artist programs of San Francisco, Houston, and Santa Fe opera companies. Her signature parts include Rossini's La Cenerentola and Il barbiere di Siviglia-her Rosina at the Metropolitan Opera won over audiences in New York and on cinema screens all over the world.
  
  Ms. DiDonato's honors include the Metropolitan Opera's Beverly Sills Award, the Royal Philharmonic Society's singer of the year, citations from Operalia and the Richard Tucker, George London, Sullivan, and ARIA awards foundations. In 2010, she won the Artist of the Year Gramophone Award, as well as the Recital of the Year award for her album Colbran, the Muse. She also collected a German ECHO Klassik Award for Female Singer of the Year.
  
  Last season began with Ms. DiDonato's debut at the Deutsche Oper Berlin as Rosina. She then returned to Madrid's Teatro Real for her first European Octavian (Der Rosenkavalier) and sang Sister Helen (Dead Man Walking) at Houston Grand Opera. She returned to the Metropolitan Opera in the spring of 2011 as Isolier (Le Comte Ory) and the Composer (Ariadne auf Naxos), followed by a European tour in the title role of Ariodante with Il complesso barocco to coincide with the release of her recording of the same opera. She triumphed at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, at the end of the season in the title role of Massenet's Cendrillon.
  
  Highlights of Ms. DiDonato's current season include the title roles of Der Rosenkavalier and La donna del lago at Teatro alla Scala, Milan, the world premiere of the Baroque pastiche The Enchanted Island at the Metropolitan Opera, concerts with the New York Philharmonic in New York and London, and the title role of Donizetti's Maria Stuarda at Houston Grand Opera.

  Warren Jones, who was named Collaborative Pianist of the Year for 2010 by Musical America, performs with many of today's best-known artists: Stephanie Blythe, Denyce Graves, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Anthony Dean Griffey, Ruth Ann Swenson, Bo Skovhus, Samuel Ramey, James Morris, John Relyea, Joseph Alessi, and Richard "Yongjae" O'Neill. He is also principal pianist for the California-based chamber music group Camerata Pacifica. In the past, he has partnered such great performers as Marilyn Horne, Håkan Hagegård, Kathleen Battle, Barbara Bonney, Carol Vaness, Judith Blegen, Tatiana Troyanos, and Martti Talvela. He is a member of the faculty of Manhattan School of Music and Music Academy of the West, and he received the Achievement Award for 2011 from the Music Teachers National Association, its highest honor. A graduate of New England Conservatory, Mr. Jones currently serves on the Board of Visitors for that institution. He has received an honorary doctorate from San Francisco Conservatory. His discography contains more than 25 recordings, and his newest musical ventures have included conducting critically-acclaimed performances of Mascagni's L'amico Fritz and Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia in recent summers.
