Neighborhood Concert: Nós Novo

The Performance Project @ University Settlement
The eclectic band Nós Novo has been thrilling and moving adventurous listeners around the world. Combining a worldly mix of sea shanties, Celtic reels and airs, and Brazilian soul into the New York’s jazz scene, percussionist James Shipp and his good-times band reach out to the community as a part of Carnegie Hall’s Musical Connections program. They give high-energy concerts and innovative workshops in prisons, shelters, hospitals, and community centers throughout New York City.
