Neighborhood Concert: Line C3 Percussion Group

This lively percussion ensemble is wholly dedicated to the pursuit of fun in performance, with its members’ appetite for adventure, insatiable curiosity, and infectious sense of humor. Composed of four members, Line C3 Percussion attacks music with incomparable skill, using a battery of unusual instruments and toys from around the world. Line C3 presents three world premieres: quartets by Chris “The Monster” Kapica and Sean Friar (2011–2012 Rome Prize recipient), Line C3 member Chris Thompson’s Super Famicom for two percussionists and a Nintendo Entertainment System, and music by French avant-gardist Vinko Globokar.
