Catch a glimpse of the mentoring that goes on in a Weill Music Institute Professional Training Workshop, as Carnegie Hall’s Debs Composer’s Chair Kaija Saariaho and Finnish cellist Anssi Karttunen, her frequent collaborator, pass along invaluable advice on the composer-performer relationship to the group of young professional string players chosen for the workshop. The repertoire for the master class will be drawn from Saariaho’s works for solo strings.
