Philharmonie de Chambre Lutèce

The Atonality in the Second Viennese School

Weill Recital Hall
In 2011, conductor Serâ Tokay created the Lutèce Philharmonia, a chamber orchestra composed of a string quintet and a range of brass and woodwind instruments. The group consists of young French musicians who graduated from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. At the invitation of the Fondation Igor Stravinsky, the orchestra recently gave a concert in Geneva featuring original transcriptions of orchestral works by Stravinsky. With a repertoire of works by Schoenberg, Berg, Webern, Hindemith, Bartók, Britten, and Stravinsky, the orchestra performs throughout Europe.
