Scenes and Songs from Fannie Lou
“Scenes and Songs from Fannie Lou” is a concert presentation of selected music and dialogue from the new, original musical Fannie Lou, which tells the story of Fannie Lou Hamer’s voting rights struggle. The evening features a full cast of performers accompanied by a live, six-piece instrumental ensemble, and perspectives from Esmeralda Simmons, the founder of Medgar Evers College’s Center for Law and Social Justice. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to the Center.
