Shepherd School Symphony Orchestra

This concert marks the Carnegie Hall debut of the Shepherd School Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Music Director Larry Rachleff. The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University is among the youngest of the country’s collegiate music schools, but its symphony orchestra is already known nationwide. Faculty artist Cho-Liang Lin joins the orchestra for Christopher Rouse’s Violin Concerto, a commissioned work written for and dedicated to Lin.
