Founded in 1967 by R. Winston Morris, the Tennessee Tech Tuba Ensemble celebrates its 47th anniversary this year. With 26 commercial recordings, the group is the most recorded ensemble of its kind, has toured throughout the eastern half of the United States for over 46 years, and is the only music group in the state of Tennessee to receive the Tennessee Board of Regents TBR Academic Excellence and Quality Award. The ensemble is responsible for the creation of hundreds of new compositions and has been listed on the Grammy Entry List for its recordings. This concert marks the group’s eighth appearance in Weill Recital Hall.
