The Improvised Traumdeutung: The Austrian Scene

Le Poisson Rouge
This one-day festival features a host of Austria’s foremost creative improvisers. The program also includes a continuation of the Austrian Cultural Forum New York series In the Absence of …, focusing on the oeuvre of Anton Webern. The series creates a framework in which creative musicians conceptualize and perform a program focused on a particular canonic composer—however, none of the composer’s music is actually heard.
