The Cecilia Chorus of New York presents four choral-orchestral works comprising a musical and spiritual exploration of transcendence. The 150-voice chorus and full orchestra perform Brahms's Nänie, on poetry by Schiller; the Te Deum of Anton Bruckner; Toward the Unknown Region, a breakthrough work by Ralph Vaughan Williams on poetry by Walt Whitman; and the world premiere of Credo for a Secular City by award-winning composer Tom Cipullo (Guggenheim Fellowship, American Academy).
