One of the world's great interpreters of Sibelius’s music, Osmo Vänskä leads the Minnesota Orchestra through a must-hear cycle of the Finnish composer's seven symphonies, some of the greatest works of the 20th century. This concert includes his jovial Third Symphony, as well as two of his most contrasting works—the ominous brooding and bleak desolation found in his Fourth Symphony and the triumph of his expansively heroic Fifth.
