Korean Traditional Music Orchestra of the Blind
The Korean Traditional Music Orchestra of the Blind is made up of visually impaired musicians. For centuries, blind musicians in Korea held official posts and performed for various court ceremonies and rituals. This orchestra, established in 2011, strives to carry on that tradition. Through this performance in Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall, the orchestra hopes to convey a message of hope that goes beyond visual impairment.
