Neighborhood Concert: Soh Daiko

LaGuardia Performing Arts Center
The beat of taiko drumming has resounded throughout Japanese culture for centuries, but New York–based drumming collective Soh Daiko takes that sound into the 21st century. The group’s repertoire includes traditional Japanese Shinto music and taiko compositions, as well as original arrangements by its members. With a variety of visual elements, dynamic choreography, and impressive athleticism, Soh Daiko’s high-energy performances are exhilarating.

There will also be a free origami workshop for kids and teens ages 5 - 14 prior to the performance. There are two time slots available: 1 PM and 2 PM in the theatre lobby. Space is limited. Reservations are required.
