    Young artists ages 18–35 spend several intensive days in workshops led by some of the world’s pre-eminent performers, including Marilyn Horne, András Schiff, Kaija Saariaho, Berlin Philharmonic, and L'Arpeggiata.

    Kaija Saariaho with Anssi Karttunen Workshop 
    Kaija Saariaho, 2011-2012 holder of The Richard and Barbara Debs Composer’s Chair at Carnegie Hall, and Finnish cellist Anssi Karttunen lead a workshop culminating in Zankel Hall performances of repertoire by Saariaho and the new works of the participating composers.

    Christina Pluhar and members of Carnegie Hall Perspectives ensemble L’Arpeggiata, including violinist Veronika Skuplik and cornettist Doron David Sherwin, lead master classes in ensemble playing, improvisation, and accompanying vocalists with basso continuo.
