One of today’s most celebrated and wide-ranging artists, Emmanuel Pahud leads a master class devoted to sonatas for flute and piano. Three flute players will be selected to participate in a two-hour public master class, followed by a discussion session, to be held at the DiMenna Center for Classical Music. A pianist will be provided. Should applicants wish to bring their own pianist, they must submit audition materials of sonata performances with that artist. (Carnegie Hall will offer a travel stipend and shared hotel accommodation to any pianist invited on that basis.)All participants will also have the opportunity to attend Mr. Pahud’s Zankel Hall concert with Les Violons du Roy on October 22, 2012 at 7:30 PM.
