Carnegie Hall celebrates families with interactive Family Weekends in the Resnick Education Wing. The entire family can join in the fun, with opportunities to sing, play, and create music, or kick back and hear groups that kids and grown-ups alike will love.
Carnegie Hall hosted its first-ever Family Weekend event, then known as Family Day, on Sunday, September 21, 2014. This historic occasion also marked the public opening of the new Judith and Burton Resnick Education Wing. Audiences of all ages saw performances by Rani Arbo & daisy mayhem, Hot Peas ’N Butter, and The Itty Biddies before composing their own songs, conducting members of Ensemble ACJW, exploring a “sound playground” and more. Free food and time on the beautiful roof terrace rounded out a fantastic day for all.
More information about Family Weekends in the 2015–2016 season will be available this summer.
