Léon Theremin presents a concert of his Music from the Ether on February 14, showcasing the self-named electronic instrument he invented.

The theremin was the first electronic instrument to be heard in Carnegie Hall. A novelty at the time for its eerily smooth tone, the instrument has since earned a place in countless horror film soundtracks, and on the Beach Boys song “Good Vibrations.”
