An extensive project that began in 1983 culminates in a full interior renovation encompassing the main auditorium, recital hall, and backstage areas.
With work progressing around the clock, the project is completed between May and December, earning it the nickname “the 28 Week Miracle.” The renovation restores the original façade with the removal of the commercial storefronts, and returns the two halls to their original 1891 splendor.
