    Special Events Assistant

    We seek a Special Events Assistant who will assist in event planning and implementation in approximately four fundraisers and fifteen donor cultivation events, as well as providing general administrative support for the Special Events department.  Gift entry for all fundraising events, which includes: Tessitura posting form, Special Events module database entry, source codes and promotions, and drafting donor acknowledgement and confirmation emails. Prepare invoices, tax deductible acknowledgements and receipts, and post-event analysis.  Preparation and implementation of gala solicitations; Assist with special event logistics; Research leadership and sponsorship prospects, nonprofit board research, and in-kind potential donors.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree.  1 – 2 years experience in office support role/events/non-profit organization preferred. Strong computer and database skills including mail merges in Microsoft Word and proficiently in Microsoft Excel.  Knowledge of Tessitura a plus, in addition to Lexis Nexis.  Ability to multi-task efficiently, prioritizes workload, and be detailed-oriented in a fast-paced work environment. Great writing skills and experience in phone solicitations. Evening and weekend hour flexibility.
