John Adams and David Robertson: The 21st-Century American Contemporary Ensemble

Led by two of the most compelling figures in American music, this workshop focuses on American 20th- and 21st-century music, and on the collaboration among composer, conductor, and ensemble in realizing new scores.
John Adams and David Robertson will coach three conductors and an instrumental ensemble in the repertoire below, culminating in two concert programs in Zankel Hall. Conducting and playing assignments will be divided as equally as possible among the participants.
