More
Living a double-life as a composer by day and a singer-songwriter by night, Gabriel Kahane explores connections between classical and popular song forms to explode the notion that these bodies of work should be treated differently. Kahane’s program in Zankel Hall combines his own works—Come on All You Ghosts, selections from Where are the Arms, and the world premiere of a new work commissioned by Carnegie Hall—with songs by composers who range from Barber, Ives, and Schumann, to Sufjan Stevens, Andrew Norman, and Cee Lo Green.
