Carnegie Hall Presents

Orchestras on Thursdays

Spend your Thursday evenings with emotionally charged orchestral works performed by three of the top orchestras in the US. The vast symphonies of Mahler are on full display when the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Daniele Gatti interpret his expansive Third Symphony and Michael Tilson Thomas leads the San Francisco Symphony through his moving Ninth. This searing series also includes Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducting The Philadelphia Orchestra in a program of works by Ravel, Shostakovich, and the New York premiere of Osvaldo Golijov's anticipated Violin Concerto.
