Weekends at Carnegie Hall

The intrepid ensembles featured in this series take the term “weekend warrior” to a whole new level, with gripping performances that push the boundaries of emotion and endurance. The St. Louis Symphony unleashes the tragedy of Britten’s searing Peter Grimes, the Minnesota Orchestra conveys the wide gamut of sentiment found in Sibelius’s symphonies, and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra performs a musical marathon that celebrates its hometown as the cultural capital at the turn of the 19th century.
