Carnegie Hall Presents

Great Singers III: Evenings of Song

Hear young singers in the early stages of stardom perform in the intimate setting of Weill Recital Hall. South African dramatic soprano Elza van den Heever won raves for her 2013 Metropolitan Opera debut as Elizabeth I in Donizetti's Maria Stuarda, while another South African soprano, Pretty Yende, dazzled in her 2013 Met debut in Rossini's Le comte Ory. Baritone Nathaniel Olson wins acclaim with each performance; soprano Heidi Stober continues to build her exciting career after her 2010 San Francisco Opera debut; and mezzo-soprano Karen Cargill showcases her sumptuous voice in a program of German lieder. Join us after each of the concerts on this series for Salon Encores, a salon-style reception where you can enjoy drinks and merriment with fellow audience members and occasionally the evening’s artists.
