Takács Quartet:
Haydn, Beethoven, and Bartók String Quartets
March 12–15, 2013
The famed string quartet invites three young ensembles to explore works of Haydn, Beethoven, and Bartók along with the broader dimensions of a chamber music career. The workshop will include coaching sessions with each member of the Takács Quartet, as well as a public master class and a young artist recital, both shared by the three participating quartets and presented in Weill Recital Hall.
An additional discussion session on the business side of a chamber music career and how to explore opportunities for teaching residencies will also be offered.
