The Documentary Music Project: Stories from the GrandParent Family Apartments
The Documentary Music Project is a special initiative of The Academy—a program of Carnegie Hall, The Juilliard School, and the Weill Music Institute in partnership with the New York City Department of Education. Three Academy fellows designed and led a 12-week composition project with residents of the intergenerational PSS/WSF GrandParent Family Apartments documenting, in music, short stories about their lives, inspiring a larger commissioned work by Ray Lustig and culminating in a final concert hosted by Casita Maria Center for Arts and Education.
