Introduction to Musical Explorers
Join us as we explore the instrument we are all born with—the voice—and discover the diverse heritage of song and musical traditions in New York City. Through this yearlong curriculum, students engage in skills-based activities, listening, and creative work; meet local musicians; learn vocal repertoire from different cultures, languages, and traditions; and make meaningful connections with their communities. Each semester's study culminates in an interactive concert in Zankel Hall.
