This is a sampling of songs performed in the culminating concert of the Jacobi Medical Center Songwriting Workshop on May 16, 2012. The songs were written by eight teens in the pediatric HIV clinic along with musicians from Carnegie Hall’s Musical Connections roster. The participants worked with composer Thomas Cabaniss and the band Nos Nóvo for several months leading up to the performance.
