Meet the Artists

“[Pape is] the greatest operatic bass in the world”—Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung

A master of the German bass repertoire, opera sensation René Pape is accompanied by Brian Zeger, Artistic Director of The Juilliard School’s Department of Vocal Arts, in works by Franz Schubert, Robert Schumann, and Hugo Wolf. Pape’s voice has been praised as “seductively tender, velvety, shocking, and passionate” (Die Welt, Germany).
