Program

Nothing could be more quintessentially French—more supple, stylish, and precise—than Ravel’s homage to a master of the Baroque. Marc-André Dalbavie shows that the style has not died out. Bartók takes us to a darker place, in an opera where Bluebeard and his latest wife confront feelings and actions that most of us repress.
