Carnegie Hall Subscriptions - Making Music
Making Music
These three concerts focusing on today’s eminent composers begin with a musical portrait of George Crumb, one of West Virginia’s acknowledged “artistic treasures,” in the words of that State’s governor. The New York premiere of Mosaic is the highlight of the Elliott Carter program, and Ensemble ACJW presents three works by Hungarian Peter Eötvös that are new to American audiences. This series is moderated by Jeremy Geffen, Carnegie Hall’s Director of Artistic Planning, who speaks with the composers and lets them tell you the real story of their compositions.
