Chango Spasiuk, a commanding virtuoso accordionist, is the major innovator of chamamé—a little-known folkloric music from northeastern Argentina. His revitalization of this powerful tradition is akin to the influence Astor Piazzolla had in the development of tango.

The inimitable tabla player Zakir Hussain joins Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, a master of the santur (similar to a hammered dulcimer and admired for its lush, shimmering sound), in a rhythmically charged program featuring ragas and talas from the North Indian classical tradition.
