Carnegie Hall Subscriptions - Chamber Sessions IV
Chamber Sessions IV

“The brightest, most promising postgraduate musicians the city has to offer” is how the New York Times describes the musicians of The Academy. Their series, which provides an exciting, accessible way to experience both familiar and unfamiliar chamber works, begins and ends with music by Schubert, including the String Quintet in C Major, which scholar Robert Winter described as the composer’s “crowning achievement in chamber music.” Ensemble ACJW also performs Brahms’s famous Piano Quintet and music by Dvoˇrák. Join these musicians after each concert for an informal reception that allows you to meet the music-makers up close and personal.
