THE SCHOOL RESIDENCY PROGRAM OF THE WEILL MUSIC INSTITUTE AT CARNEGIE HALL (Grades Pre-K through 12)
The School Residency Program offers schools the opportunity to participate in sequential music programs through a unique collaboration with The Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall. Working together, teachers and WMI Teaching Artists engage students in creative musical projects that meet the specific needs of each classroom. These projects connect musical learning to curriculum standards, enabling students to develop a deeper understanding of selected repertoire.
School Residency programs include: The McGraw-Hill Companies CarnegieKids (Pre-K–K), Musical Explorers (Grades 1 and 2), LinkUp! (Grades 3–5), Perelman American Roots (Grades 6–8) and Citi Global Encounters (Grades 9–12).
This program is open to both music and academic teachers.
Schools chosen to participate in the School Residency Program may be offered future opportunities to become a WMI School Partner, including more in-depth collaboration with WMI Teaching Artists.
