Leon Fleisher guides four young pianists through the process of preparing four Mozart piano concertos in this two-part workshop. From October 27 to November 2, Fleisher works with each student at Carnegie Hall on his or her concerto; in December, Fleisher and the four pianists continue the process of preparation in Philadelphia with the Curtis Chamber Orchestra. The culminating performances will take place in Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall. Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 30. Exceptionally accomplished applicants under the age of 18 will be considered but only with prior approval by The Weill Music Institute staff.
Presented in partnership with The Curtis Institute of Music.
This workshop is also open to auditors for a nominal registration fee. See below for an Auditor Brochure.
