Carnegie Hall continues its collaboration with Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Project with a two-part workshop spanning the 2005–06 and 2006–07 seasons. Focusing on the creation of new work, Carnegie Hall and the Silk Road Project will commission two new works by emerging composers. The spring 2006 session brings together the selected composers and musicians of the Silk Road Ensemble to begin collaborative work on the new pieces. Part two of the workshop (in the 2006–07 season) will focus on preparation of the new works for a final concert. Applications will be accepted for composers. Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35.
This workshop is also open to auditors for a nominal registration fee. See below for an Auditor Brochure.
