Leon Fleisher leads a workshop for young artists, focusing on Brahms's piano chamber music for piano trios (including clarinet and horn trios), piano quartets, and piano quintet. Throughout the week, up to 18 young artists will delve into this repertoire with Mr. Fleisher and guest artists, including violinist Pamela Frank, cellist Yo-Yo Ma, and wind and brass artists to be announced. The workshop will culminate with two final performances in Weill Recital Hall on May 8 and May 9.

Applications will be accepted from piano trios, piano quartets, and piano quintets with members between the ages of 18 and 35 who are interested in exploring creative composition and improvisation. Approximately 12 to 18 participants will be selected to participate in the workshop.

All materials must be received by Carnegie Hall no later than Tuesday, December 1, 2009.

Applicants will be informed of their workshop status on or before Friday, January 29, 2010.
