The John Adams Workshop: Chamber Symphony


This workshop will focus on John Adams's Chamber Symphony. Mr. Adams will lead the workshop and will conduct the work. The culminating performance will take place in Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall. Applications will be accepted for the following instruments: flute (doubling piccolo), oboe, clarinet (doubling E-flat clarinet), clarinet (doubling bass clarinet), 2 bassoons (one doubling contrabassoon), horn, trumpet, trombone, percussion, keyboard sampler, violin, viola, cello, and double bass. Instrumentalists must be between the ages of 18 and 30; auditor applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
