Professional Training Workshops

Designed for musicians in all genres—with special emphasis on young artists—Professional Training Workshops of The Weill Music Institute at Carnegie Hall offer a unique opportunity for young musicians to be coached and trained by today’s master artists in an intimate setting. All workshops lead to a public performance presented at Carnegie Hall. Participants are chosen by formal application, including an audition recording.

Professional Training Workshops are also open to auditors. Auditing offers the rare opportunity for music enthusiasts to have a look inside the artistic process, as well as further musical enrichment and a more personal connection to these world-renowned and aspiring young musicians. Auditors are invited to attend selected coaching sessions and related lectures or discussions. Those who register for the full length of the workshop will receive tickets to all workshop public events. Schedules are generally available one month before the workshop start date and outline the sessions open to auditors. Please note that all schedules are subject to change. Specific details and an online application are found on each of the pages below.
